Suzanne L. Rooksby

Susie is the loving mother to Joshua (Trisha) Barragan, Zack (Angela) Barragan, Madison (Nicole) Farag, Brandon (Tara) Barragan and the late Justin Kirk; proud grandmother to Aribella, Lilliana, Aiden, Chase, Caden, Steven, Samantha and Justin; great-grandmother to many; cherished sister to Scott (Cathy) Parker, the late Billy Parker, the late Kathy Parker; devoted daughter to the late Lorraine Parker and Joseph Parker; former companion and best friend to Phillip Barragan.

Susie was a generous and loving caretaker for her family. She also worked at the Horseshoe and Blue Chip Casinos in the Spa, and at the Portage Child Care. Susie was a lover of all types music and enjoyed singing along. Her family is comforted knowing that her deep faith had comforted her in the past few years. Although her caring nature and her love of God, did not necessarily take away her tenacity. Raising 4 rambunctious boys and a sweet daughter and helping raise half of the neighborhood, made her into a tough but fair mom.

Celebration of life will be February 8, 2025 at 10:30 am at Real Life Community Church (3134 Swanson Road; Portage, IN 46368).
