Vivianlee M. Wilber

Vivianlee M. Wilber, age 79, of Lowell, IN, passed away on May 29, 2026. She is survived by her children, Michelle R. Farrell and Fredrick W. Peters; grandchildren, Michael E. Sheets, Austin Peters, Tony, Jaden, and Alexis; brother, George (Shirley) Huber; sister, Anna Huber; and many nieces and nephews. Vivian was preceded in death by her son, Edward E. Wilber; parents, Ralph and Charlotte Huber; brothers, Ralphie and Jackie Huber; and nephew, Daniel Huber.

In Lowell, IN, Vivian was an avid girls’ softball manager and coach, mentoring young athletes with encouragement and heart. She also served for many years as a bus driver for the Lowell School System, becoming a familiar and trusted presence to countless students.

Vivian earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and devoted her career to caring for others before retiring from Kindred Hospital/St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, IN. Her compassion, commitment, and love for others leave a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed.

Services for Vivian will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN, 46322, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 pm. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
