Walter R. Jett ”Sonny” Portage, IN went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2011; he is survived his wife Christine, three children Reda (James) Fortenbury, Connie (Emil) Bergner, Clinton (Tami) Jett, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one twin-sister Golda Sill; preceded in death by six brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday February 11,2011; 10:30 am at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd( two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN Rev. Rick Wood officiating, burial Memory Lane Cemetery, friends may visit with the family on Thursday February 10th from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Walter was a member of Ironworkers Local 395, worked for Calumet Construction for 29 years, started is own business Jettson Industrial Maintenance Incorp in 1982 retired in 1988, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family& friends, active in The Church of God of Prophecy.
