

Warren Halls, age 78, of Angola, IN, formerly of Highland, IN passed away October 26, 2010 at home, surrounded by family. He was born May 20, 1932 in Danville, IL. He served in the 599th Field Artillery, 7th Army. He served from 1952 to 1954 in Germany. He retired from Inland Steel after 32 years of service. He worked at No. 4 B.O.F. as a melter foreman. Warren is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Jeanne; two sons: Warren (Donna), Tim (Kelly); two daughters: Cindy (Bob) Rataczak and Teresa (Peter) Mazur; 12 grandchildren: Jeanne (Ron), January (Mike), Jason, Warren (Weslie), Rebekah (Joe), T.J., Angela (David), Nicole (Andrew), Natalie, Chris, Andrew and Raquel; 8 great-grandchildren: Alexis, Logan, Ashleigh, Emilee, Westin, Linda, Brady and Lucas; one brother, Albert; two sisters: Marilyn and Virginia (Larry), and his best buddy, Ed Brumfield. Preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Ruby Halls; brother, Kenneth. He touched many lives and always put family first. He could fix anything and had boundless knowledge. He will be missed by a loving family. Family and friends are invited to visit at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road ( 2 blocks South of Ridge Road) Highland, Friday, October 29, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home with Randy Harrison, Minister, officiating.
