He is survived by his four children, Rebecca Armstrong, Thomas Hanchar, Rion Hanchar, and Selena Nakken; his grandchildren, Faith Miller, Leon, Gage, Riley, Aiden, Skyler, Milan, and Logan; and his great-grandchildren, Chloe, Violet, and Charlotte.
He was born on February 5, 1949 to the late William J. and Dorothy Hanchar. William graduated in 1967 from Bishop Noll High School. He served in the United States Army as first aviation and signal corps during the Vietnam War. When William returned from service, he became a carpenter and jack of all trades, including building his own home in the neighborhood where he proudly resided for the duration of his life. His legacy and wisdom will live on through his children and their families, as they remember him fondly and live on to emulate the love and support that was shared.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.KuiperFH.com for the Hanchar family.
