William K. (Bill) Nilsen

William K. “Bill”Nilsen, age 61, of Merrillville, IN passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; three sons: Jamie Nilsen, Darin Nilsen of Lansing, IL and Jason (Kelley) Cates of KY; one sister, Karen Kern of IL; one brother, Carl Nilsen of IL; and two grandchildren: Jillian and Austin. Mr. Nilsen was preceded in death by his sister, Kristine. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with Rev. Bob Parnell officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home.
