Benjamin Sanchez, 84, of Honokaa, passed away on July 12, 2026, at his residence. Born on September 20, 1941, in Honokaa, Benjamin was a part of the Drip Irrigation Department for the Hamakua Sugar Company, serving with steady dedication and a quiet pride in his work. He will be remembered with deep affection as a kind-hearted and beloved presence, and as a devoted father, brother, and grandfather whose care was felt in the lives he touched.
Viewing starts 8:30 – 10:00 AM held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church: 45-5028 Plumeria St, Honokaa, HI 96727 on the Saturday of the 22nd of August. Service from 10:00 -11:00AM. Private burial to follow.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Clint Mixell) Sanchez and Tiffany (Chauncey) Sanchez Hatico; his brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Sanchez and Wallace Sanchez; three grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
