Daniel Ewell Perreira, 81, of Hilo, passed away on Monday March 31, 2025. He was born June 8, 1943 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was the owner of Plates of Aloha and Paniolo Country Inn. He was also part of the Waimea Lions Club and the Waimea Senior Citizens.
Daniel’s Celebration of Life will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes-Honoka’a on Saturday August 16, 2025. Visitation starts at 8:30AM with service starting at 10:00AM. Burial to follow. Light lunch at 12pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ranalee Perreira; his son Gavan Perreira; and his daughter Trisha Perreira.
He is survived by his son Daniel “Keola” (Pristeen) Perreira of Waimea, Hawaii; his daughter Dania (Brett) Sopher of Westminster, Colorado; his brother Melvin Perreira of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; his sister Bernadette (Waltham) Johansen of Pa’auilo, Hawaii; and his 3 grandsons Evan Perreira, Liam Perreira, and Zane Sopher.
