Dennis Gordon Maria, age 82, of Hilo passed away on September 1, 2026, at home. He was born on September 12, 1943, on Oahu and lived in Ewa Plantation. Dennis graduated from Waipahu High School c/o 61 and worked for Richard Lee Trucking. He also found steady enjoyment in fishing, a simple pleasure that reflected a quiet appreciation for time well spent.
Above all, Dennis was a loving father who cherished being with family and especially treasured time with his grandchildren. His presence will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by those who knew him best.

Dennis is predeceased by sister, Colette Maria and brother Sonny Maria. He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany Santos, Auli'i Maria, and U'ilani Chavez; his son, Shane Maria; brother, Frankie Maria; sister, Linda Parker; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
