Norman Rivera Balanga Sr., age 82, of Pahoa, passed away at home on September 6, 2026. He was born on December 31, 1943, in Honolulu. Throughout his life, he worked as a contractor, and he will be remembered as a beloved presence to those who knew him and shared in his days.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Uncle Roberts Awa Bar in Kalapana on Friday, October 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Norman is survived by his sons, Norman R. Balanga Jr. and Derrick Balanga; his daughters, Renee Balanga and Robyn K. P. Christian; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
