Robert Daniel Aguirre

Robert D. Aguirre, age 75, of Laupahoehoe, passed away on June 7, 2025 at home. He was born on October 1, 1949 on Maui Island. He retired as a commercial fuel truck driver. He was a part of the Seniors Tennis Group, Hawaii Island Archery Club, and a foster parent.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025 at Ballard Family Mortuary Hilo Chapel (570 Kinoole St. Hilo, Hi 96720). Visitation to start at 10:00AM with service to follow at 10:30AM. Please join the family for lunch on the lanai after the service.

Robert is survived by his wife Laura Aguirre of Laupahoehoe; his sons Alden Aguirre of Laupahoehoe, Adrian (Nicole) Aguirre of Laupahoehoe; his daughters Vanessa (Daniel) Gutierrez of Conroe, Texas, Cherie (Eric) Uyema of Daly City, California, Erin (Ronald) Manuel of Kapa’au, Ava-Amalia Aguirre of Laupahoehoe; his brother Anthony Aguirre of Waipahu; his sisters Betty Jane (Andy) Callejo of Mililani, Diana (Willy) Tanaka of Pearl City; his 10 grandchildren, his 8 great grandchildren; his numerous aunts and cousins.
