Everett Allen (Doc) Bullard, 87, of Soddy Daisy passed away at his home, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 after a courageous battle with ALS. Dr. Bullard was a Veteran of WW II serving in the United States Army Company C, 139 Airborne Engineers Battalion.
He was a 1951 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He was a man dedicated to the profession of pharmacy for over 50 years. He served as State President of the Tennessee Pharmacist Association and a member of the National Association of Retail Druggists. He owned Annex Drugs on Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga for 33 years and the Daisy Prescription Shop in Soddy Daisy. He was on staff at Kingwood Pharmacy for many years. He was a member of Daisy United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Clyde Allen Bullard and Lizzie Quick and his daughter, Elizabeth Stepp.
Dr. Bullard is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Wanda Jean Bullard and daughters, Michelle (Mimi) Sedjat, Virginia Beach, Cathie (Russ) Geller, Mississippi, Anna Kay Shirah (Hank) Pace, Florida and sons, Everett Allen (Helen) Bullard, Jr., Gallatin, TN, Gary Wayne (Barbara) Bullard, Franklin, TN, Bob (Dawn) Bullard of Chattanooga, Phillip Wright (Debbie) Pace, Florida, thirteen grandchildren, Rob and Johnson Bullard, Jonathan, Chad, Chase and Nicholas Bullard, Jena Sedjat, Laura Fergerson, Brian and Jonathon Miller, Will and Michael Wright, and four great grandchildren, Tyler Ferguson, Julianna, Arabelle and Maverick Miller.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 pm Thursday, April 19, at the North Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, April 20 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Clark and the Rev. Don Jones officiating. Pallbearers are Richard Gray, Ted Nelson, Bob Hixson, Sam Lemay, Tom Graham, and Carl McLaughlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or Daisy United Methodist Church General Fund.
