Alonzo was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a 1978 graduate of Brainerd High School. He was a retired auto mechanic and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Sarah Murray and a daughter, Ashley Murray.
Alonzo is survived by his wife, Mary Murray; daughters, Tasha Long and Allison (Ryan) Hampton; grandchildren, Josh and Jackob, Alexis and Nicholas and Brianna (Bryant) Yelverton; great grandchildren, Gunner and Canyon; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home at this time.
A Celebration of Alonzo’s life will be announced at a later date.
