Anna “Kitty” Tipton Middleton, beloved wife and mother, age 78, of Hixson died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Hospice of Chattanooga. Mrs. Middleton was born October 30, 1932 in Tracy City to the late Oscar and Lillie (Bates) Tipton. Mrs Middleton was preceded in death by her husband Robert L “R.L.” Middleton, two sisters Ruby Cooper and Canelia Tipton and three brothers Tinsley Tipton, Dickie Tipton and Arthur “Little Boy” Tipton. She was retired from Dupont.
Survivors include a son Billy and Shirley Middleton, a daughter JoAnn and Gene Veal, and grandchildren Christy and Benny Foshee, Chris and Ginger Middleton, Angela and Eric Hart, great grandchildren Trey Foshee, Jared Foshee, Blake Smith and Collin Hart, sister Edna Gabriel and a brother Oscar “Big Boy” Tipton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 16, 2011 at 3:00 pm from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral home with Chaplain Gloria Westerfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8.
