She was born on December 29, 1930 in Columbus, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Ercell and Archie Chalkley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Emmett D. Moore. They were residents of Signal Mountain, TN for many years before Emmett’s death. She returned to Signal Mountain to her home at Alexian Village.
Arlynn was very fond of gardening and was blessed with a green thumb. She very much enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends and had most recently developed a passion for dancing. She had an open mind, a kind heart and a quick smile that always warmed the soul.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa A. Moore, Chattanooga; two sons, Jeffrey D. (Debbie) Moore of Ackworth, GA, and D. Andrew Moore of Tullahoma, TN; a grandson, Matthew (Rebecca) Moore and a great grandson, Ethan.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 4 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Jump officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Alexian Village.
