Barbara "Bobbie" Jean McClure Blankenship, 76, of Red Bank, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in a local health care facility. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a member of the Oakwood Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late James Albert and Willie McClure. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Herman McClure and a grandson, Ray Blankenship. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, J.C. Blankenship; Son, Jackie Blankenship, and his wife Debi; Daughter, Rita Long, and her husband Gnol; granddaughter, Bridget Michelle Haddock and four great-grandsons, Shawn, Randy, Skylar and Riley; brothers, J.A. McClure and Lee McClure. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home,, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153.
