Betsy was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School, The Baroness Erlanger Hospital School of Nursing, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Betsy held several positions in the nursing field, but is best known as a nurse educator at the former Baroness Erlanger Hospital School of Nursing.
Betsy is survived by her children Beverly ( Glenn) Davis and Richard B. Watkins, Jr.
Grandchildren; Sarah ( Jared) Byrd, Julia Watkins, Paige Watkins and Rachel Watkins
Sisters; June (Hershel) Shadwick and Virginia (Mack) Henry
Two nieces and five nephews
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 12:30 to 2pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
Funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Devotion at Hamilton Memorial Gardens
Burial to follow
