

Betty was a graduate of Red Bank High School and attended Tennessee Wesleyan, Middle Tennessee State and UTC. She was a longtime music teacher at Lakeside Elementary School. Betty and her husbands loved Square and Round Dancing. She was one of the founding members of Allemande Hall in Chattanooga. Betty was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling all over the world but some of her favorite times were traveling on safaris in Africa. Betty and her husband have been socializing at McDonald’s on Hixson Pike and Highway 153 for many years, where they have made many friends and told many stories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Jones; parents, J. B. and Esther Fuller.
Betty is survived by her husband, Tom Faulkner; sons, Randy (Kimberly) Jones and Danny Jones; step-daughters, Sarah Faulkner and Gaye (Tim) Crossen; grandchildren, Christopher and Bryan Jones, Billy Cunningham, III, Jessica Cunningham, Coby George, Kelli Barnette, Robyn Jones and Sarah Taylor Davies; seven great grandchildren.
To keep the tradition going Tom and his family will visit with his friends at McDonald’s at 5440 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343 from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 16. They will then go to the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel for a procession to the graveside service. A Celebration of Betty’s life will follow at 11 am on Wednesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with her Pastor Evelyn Harris.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to your favorite charity.
