

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a member of Union Fork Baptist Church.
Betty was retired from the Hamilton County Clerk’s office with 24 years of service. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and was always doing anonymous good deeds for strangers and will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, wing-walker aviator Patrick “Jersey” Ringel and Blanche West Ringel; brother, Maurice Ringel and her loving husband of 61 years, Charles R. Lynch.
Betty is survived by her three children, Phil (Wanda) Lynch of LaFayette, GA., Lamar (Terri) Lynch of Soddy Daisy and Jeana (John) Schneitman of Eagle River, Alaska; her loving grandchildren, Shanon (Jayson) Sanders and Beth Lynch both of Knoxville, Brooke (Edward) Haluska of Savannah, GA, Jarret Lynch of Johnson City, TN and Amy Roever of New Smyrna Beach, FL; step grandchildren, Shilloy (Keith) Bates of Ringgold, GA and Stacy (Brandi) Robinson of Laurel, MS; six great grandchildren; sister in law and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Friday and 1:30 to 2:30 pm on Saturday at the North Chapel.
Funeral services for Betty will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with Minister Frank Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Soddy Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mitchell Mutter and his staff, Dr. Fredrick Gould, Amedysis Home Health in Anchorage, Alaska and Chattanooga and all of Betty’s kind friends and neighbors for all their love and support through the years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to Soddy United Methodist Church Food Bank, 255 Depot Street, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379.
