He was a retired employee of Quaker Oats. Billy was a Seargent in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Sweeton, and brother, Jerry Sweeton.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Angela (Joseph) Clark, his brother, Marlin (Ginger) Sweeton, sister-in-law, Tammi Sweeton, his grandson, Timothy (Erin) Clark, granddaughter, Cori Clark, great- grandson, Grayson Clark, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Brother Timothy Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday evening at North Chapel.
