Blanche was a member of North Hixson Church of Christ. She supported her husband in the preaching of the gospel from Florida to Alaska (before statehood) and Washington State to New Jersey. She loved teaching children’s and women’s Bible classes, and crocheted quilts for Hospice patients. In her early years she traveled across the country by train and train travel was always special to her. Her life was filled with joy because she filled the lives of others with joy. Her goal in life was to live eternally with our Lord. Her mission is now accomplished, To God Be the Glory!
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, W. Arthur Moody; son, Curry Thomas Moody.
Blanche is survived by her children, Arthur (Diana) Moody, Mary Kay (Sandy) Steinman and Nan (Bill) Holt; daughter-in-law, Cheri Moody; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 pm on Friday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Services for Blanche will follow at 1 pm on Friday, at the North Chapel with her grandsons, Ministers Bryan and Brent Moody and Joel Holt officiating.
