

Glynn was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. He served our country in the U. S. Army during World War II. Glynn served as a combat engineer during the first wave to hit Leyte in Philippines. Tex retired from DuPont with over 38 years of service. He was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church of Hixson where he also served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director and in many other capacities. Glynn was an avid antique clock collector, repairman and restored many clocks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
Glynn is survived by his wonderful wife of 64 years, Annie Mae Cleghorn Sanders; children, Stuart Sanders and his wife Christina and Lisa Rawlston and her husband Denny Grant; grandchildren, Holly Hatala and Ryan Billings; great grandchildren, Malory Owensby and Ikaya Billings; sister, Margie Henry of Sugarland, Texas; brothers, Doyle Sanders and his wife Mildred of Maumelle, Arkansas and Leonard Sanders and his wife Charlotte of Richardson, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the North Chapel.
Services for Glynn will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the North Chapel with Rev. Ken Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glynn’s name to the Hamilton County Baptist Association, 508 North Market Street, Chattanooga, TN 37405.
