Carol was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. She loved her family, flowers, gardening and her pets.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Maxine Allen; her first son, Ricky Fairchild; siblings, Lyndon Allen and Ruth Kell.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Doyle R. Fairchild; children, Randy (Cindy) Fairchild, Scott (Cathy) Fairchild, Eric (Kristy) Fairchild and Kelly Fairchild; grandchildren, Julia, Ricky, Brittany, Graham and Emma Fairchild; honorary grandchildren, Amanda Jones Fairchild, Will Pruett, Andrew Pruett and Thompsie Pruett Huffaker; great grandchildren, Layla Fairchild and Grace Jones Fairchild; siblings, Frank, William, Robert and Charles Allen, Pat Simmons and Jean Quarles; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside services for Carol will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to Siskin Children’s Institute, 1101 Carter Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37402 or Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O. Box 19269, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37416.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
