She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude E. and Phillip D. Phillips, her husband, Raymond C. Adams, Sr., son, Raymond C. Adams, Jr., brothers, George E. and Delbert B. Phillips, and sister, June P. Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Caroline S. Adams (Thomas Vocino) of Pike Road, AL, grandson, Nicholas (Lauren) Vocino of Auburn, AL, step-granddaughter, Anna Vocino (Loren Tarquinio) of North Hollywood, CA, great granddaughters, Madison and Caroline Vocino and Lucy Tarquinio, and sister-in-law, Caroline Williams of Decatur, IL.
The family wishes to thank her many caregivers over the last seven years, especially Margaret Stewart, Sandra Donaldson, Lea Newman, Ty Jones, Fran Mann, and others from Home Instead Senior Care.
A memorial service was held in Pike Road, AL on February 21 at Woodland UMC.
A graveside service will be held in Chattanooga on March 24 at 11 am at Chattanooga Memorial Park, at the Pond Pavilion. The ashes of her husband, who died July 7, 2004, will be interred with her.
