Sue will always be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and love for her family.
Sue, affectionately known as Mother and Nana, was born in Findlay, OH, on February 24, 1945, and was married to Billy Ray Ramsey for more than 60 years. Sue was one of three daughters of Reverend John and Elizabeth Richardson of Dayton, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Johnna Hammel of Union, OH, and survived by sister Mary Ann (Delbert) McKinney of Cleveland, OH.
Sue embodied warmth, dedication, and kindness in every role she held. She was a loyal business partner and devoted wife to Bill. During their 60-year marriage they built a number of successful businesses together. Many of these creative and innovative ventures are still operating today.
Sue was active in her Faith, her family and with her friends. She was a long-time member of the Woodmore Church of God and participated in the church choir and Ladies’ Auxiliary. She later attended ABBA’s House for more than a decade. Throughout the years, Sue and Bill traveled the world together with a close group of dear friends creating cherished memories.
Sue was a selfless and generous mother to Tami and Cheryl. There has never been a kinder and more loving mother. She loved her daughters unconditionally and told them so every chance she had. One of her favorite pastimes was spending Saturdays shopping with her girls.
She was a proud Nana to Ramsey, Will, Walker, Patrick Jr and Clay. She truly adored her new role as a loving great-grandmother to Weston, Vaughan and Evalene (Evie).
Sue’s sweet spirit and legacy will be carried on in the next generations through her daughters Tamara Daugherty (Chris), Cheryl Kushman (Patrick), her 5 grandsons Ramsey (Emily), William, and Walker (Kristen) Daugherty, Patrick Jr and Clay Kushman, and 3 great-grandchildren.
