She is survived by her husband, Walter E. Phillips; children, Walter H. Phillips, Linda Schnepel (husband, Fred), David Phillips (wife, Mary), Glen Phillips, Dan Phillips (wife, Jeanie), Nicole Turner (husband, Isaac), Terri Anne Drescher (husband, Tony), and George Phillips. She is also survived by her brother, Edgar Lagasse (wife, Mary); sister, Vivianne Geary (husband, Ken); brother-in-law, Lionel “Zip” DuPont; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Vandenberg and Ann Lavasseur; foster daughter, Kimberly; very close friend, Connie Bane; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Phillips; brother, Henry Lagasse; sister, Trudy DuPont; and brothers-in-law, John Lavasseur and Bernard Vandenberg.
Her joy was found in her love for God, being with her family and dancing. She spent many years helping care for numerous grandchildren, then cherished her time living with her sister, Trudy and brother-in-law, Lionel “Zip”. She added their family to her family and loved them all very much.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation and Mass were held on March 22, 2017 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Her wishes were to be cremated and buried in her family plot at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River, MA.
