She was a loving wife and mother who served alongside her husband of 60 years as they pastored seven Church of God congregations in TN, AZ, and PA, for 46 years. She was called at a very young age to the ministry and loved Israel. She was a supporter of the Ministry to Israel, which helped Jews return to their homeland.
She is pre-deceased by her mother, Ruth Porter and step-father J.O. Porter, infant son Jeffery, and sister, Alma Raye Scott, mother & father-in-law, Thomas H & Della Privett.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bishop Clayton Privett of Hixson, her children Jennifer “Ginger” Teppenpaw (Dr. William), Joel “Dan” Privett (Angela), Jonathan “David” Privett (Michele) from Chattanooga and daughter Julia Youngblood (Mike) of Young Harris, Ga. Grandchildren, Tiffany Miller (Jeff), Joshua Curtis (Katherine), Will Teppenpaw, Cecelia Hixon (Sam), Jordan Baysore (Andrew), Luke Privett (Brittany), Elijah Privett from Chattanooga, Cassie John (Shane) Dallas, TX and Victoria Barrett (Andrew), Hiawassee, GA. Great-grandchildren Caleb, Christian & Clayton Miller, Hailey Hixon, Charlotte & Graham Barrett, Henry & Evelyn Curtis, Madison & Ryleigh Baysore & Audrey Privett. Sister, Elizabeth Bidwell, Soddy-Daisy, brother, Billy Jack Holbrook (Debbie), Cumming, Ga. Several brothers & sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, June 21, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and from 11am to 12 pm on Saturday, at The Ministry Center, 2929 Hamill Road, Hixson, TN 37343.
A Celebration of Life service for Charlotte will follow at 12 pm on Saturday at The Ministry Center with her husband, Bishop C. H. Privett, Pastor Mike Youngblood and Bishop Jimmie Talley officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
