

Claude Warner Griffith of Signal Mountain died Wednesday February 3, 2016 in Corryton, Tennessee. He was a lifelong resident of Signal Mountain. He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Viola Griffith; brother, Hubert Griffith and sister, Dorothy Jean King. Mr. Griffith was retired from Hill Floral Products Company after 36 years of service. He was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, the Becking Bible Class, member and former treasurer of the Signal Mountain Lions club, member and former treasurer of the Signal Mountain Masonic Lodge F&Am. #758, Alhambra Shrine, and member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Doris Jacqueline Griffith; children, Stephen (Debbie) Griffith, Susan (Bob) Griffith Tebbitt, and Scott (Laura) Griffith; sisters, Rita (Don) Dawkins, Virginia J. Ewton, Wilma Wetherbee Sharp, and Dean (David) Biggs; grandchildren, Carrie, Justin, Katie, Christopher, Samantha, and Marcus; great grandchildren Ethan, Samuel, Sarah Elizabeth, and Ella Kate.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 10-11:30 Monday, February 8. Graveside services will be held 11:30 Monday in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 Monday at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church with family visitation immediately following.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.
