Colin Markus Shannon, born on April 6, 1995, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on August 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Colin was a cherished son to Allison Sweatt, and he embraced life with a warmth and humor that touched all who knew him.

Colin's journey began in Chattanooga, where he was surrounded by the love of his family, including his late grandfather Carlos Sweatt and great grandmother Nannie Bell Sweatt, and Donald and Mary Shannon. He was also predeceased by his beloved Aunt Amanda Sweatt.

Colin's greatest love was his daughter, Brynleigh Shannon, whom he shared with Brittany Cantrell. Brynleigh was the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with her. Colin's legacy of love is carried forward by his daughter, his mother Allison Sweatt, his father Michael Shannon, his grandmother Donnette Sweatt, and his cousin Knox Johnson. Each of them holds a piece of his heart, as he will forever hold theirs.

Colin was known for his adventurous spirit and keen sense of humor. His passion as a young man was skating with his friends. He could often be found working on projects and sharing stories with friends and family. His loyalty as a friend was unmatched, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Colin's heart was as vast as his passions, which included writing, cooking, basketball and his unwavering admiration for the Lakers and Kobe Bryant.

Colin Markus Shannon's life was a testament to joy, kindness, and unwavering love. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20th from 5-8 pm and on Friday, August 21st from 2-3:30 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm In Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
