Collin was born on September 18, 1969 in Chattanooga, TN to Richard and Sandra Magnuson. On August 8, 2008, he married Donna Jean Rutherford. In addition to his wife and his parents, he leaves two children, Jordan and Gabriel, brother Kevin (Susi), nephew Tyler, niece Hunter, his in-laws Billy and Linda Nifong, god-children Elissa Rutherford and Gavin Avans, aunt Diane Magnuson, uncle Stanley Ragle and aunt Yvonne Eubanks.
Collin grew up in Ooltewah. He was an all-star baseball player at East Brainerd Ballfield where he was coached by his father Richard. He discovered golf and tennis at an early age. He was a member of Valleybrook Golf and Country Club. Collin was a current member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Collin graduated from UTC with a degree in Business Finance. Following college, he began his career with Shaw Industries. Over his 27-year career with Shaw, he held positions as Regional Credit Manager, Assistant Brand Manager and Ceramic Tile and Stone Assistant Category Manager until his most recent promotion to Ceramic Tile and Stone Category Manager in 2015. All along the way, he earned the respect, admiration and friendship of all of those he touched.
A private service will be held for the family only and a Celebration of Life service will be announced later.
