Conde Normay Alday Jr

Conde N. Alday, Jr, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, July 21, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents, Conde Norman and Christina Love Alday; brother, John Michael Alday; and daughter, Susan Alday Moser.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jamie Ann Payne Alday; daughters Judy (Brad) Stephens of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; and Kathy Alday of Acworth, Georgia; five grandchildren: Sara Moser and Adam Moser of Chattanooga; Mary Ann (Tony) Jessee and Roy (Heather) Gateley of Hendersonville, Tennessee; Ellie Gateley of Cottontown, Tennessee; and five great-grandchildren: John Michael, Anna Grace, Elan, and Abbey McCasland; and Tommy Gateley, all of Hendersonville, Tennessee.

The family wishes to express its thanks to all the wonderful caregivers at Memorial Hospital, St. Barnabas Nursing Home, and Amedysis Hospice. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
