Diane Bender Hickey, 82, died Monday, December 5 at her home in Hixson. A native of Chattanooga, Diane was a graduate of City High School and Auburn University. She was an avid Sailor, a member of Privateer Yacht Club, and she loved SEC football.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Finley Seagle and Ruby McBride Bender.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Kent Hickey of Largo, Florida and Kevin Seagle Hickey of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Cristina Visperas and grandson, Matthew Seagle Hickey, all of Atlanta.
The family asks that Memorial Contributions be made to Meals on Wheels, 735 E 10th Street Chattanooga, TN 37403 or the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga, 214 N Highland Park Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
There will be no visitation or services in Chattanooga.
