Dorothy Billingsley Hughes, 92, of Chattanooga passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of the Red Bank Baptist Church and the Tilford Sunday School Class. She worked for Mercer Baking Company and later retired from Servomation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Hughes; son, James E. Hughes and her parents, Leonard and Jessie P. Billingsley; brothers, Raymond and Larry Billingsley and a sister, Virginia.
She is survived by her children, Virginia Jo (Tom) Gray and George L. (Yvonne) Hughes; grandchildren, Cindy (Rick) Williams, Gigi (Randy) Dodd, Julie (Scott) Light, Debra (Marty) Green, Cathy (Robert) Lewis, Rusty (Beth) Gray, Denise (Greg) Short and Jimmy (Crystal) Hughes; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the North Chapel with Rev. Burt Jones officiating.
Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 and on Thursday from noon until the time of the service at the North Chapel.
