Mrs. Reynolds was born in Chicago, Illinois and was a retired Home Economics high school teacher from the Chicago area. She retired to the Chattanooga area to live near her sister. She was a graduate of Northern Illinois University and a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the National Association of University Women, past Lt. Commander of the Chattanooga Sea Cadets, and the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Reynolds; daughter, Barbara Baker; and parents, Niels and Mabel Vedel.
Survivors include her children, Joe (Pam) Reynolds of Chandler, Arizona, Niki (John) Harast of Dallas, Texas, and Paul (Karon) Reynolds of Chattanooga, TN; 4 grandchildren; and sister, Eleanor Bagamery, of Chattanooga, TN.
There will not be any visitation at the funeral home and funeral services will be private.
