She was a graduate of Hixson High School Class of 1935. Dorothy worked at F. W. Woolworth and J. C. Penney. She was a longtime member of Burks United Methodist Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul; her parents, Ed and Flora Reeves; her brother, Ed “Bud” Reeves and a sister, Virginia Brooks.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Robert) Ingle, Hixson, Ron (Mary) Sanders, Daytona Beach, FL and Pat (F. T.) Sanders of Sale Creek; grandchildren, David and Mark Ingle, Melanie Hawkins, Michele Fugate, Ron Sanders II, Andrea Brackett, Jay Fairley; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brother-in-law, John Sanders.
We give special thanks to the wonderful staff of Regency House and to Dr. Zeigler for his care and concern.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the North Chapel.
Graveside service for Dorothy will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Leon Fraley officiating.
