Born August 15, 1933 in Nashville, and lived most of his live in Chattanooga. He was a Christian. He graduated from Hixson High School and retired from DuPont.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley Sawyer; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Charles Lee; grandchildren, David and wife Jeni Lee, Daniel Lee, and Shelby Lee; great granddaughter, Willow Lee; sister, Avis Turner; brothers, Robert and wife Taziko Sawyer, and Bruce Sawyer.
His family was precious to him, especially his grandchildren and Willow. He enjoyed watching grandsons play football, and his granddaughter play soccer and was a great fan of UT.
The family will receive friends 11-1 Tuesday, September 15 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 Tuesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
