Drue Grevemberg Hudson passed away August 13, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born August 1, 1936, in Savannah, Georgia. She attended Cathedral Day School, was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Academy and later the University of Georgia where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Society.
She and her husband, Lewis Hudson, were the proud parents of son, Andy Hudson (Tammy deceased) of Chattanooga, Tenn., and daughter, Amanda (Tony Metcalf) of Monterey, Tenn. She is also survived by a sister, Meg Grevemberg Schreck (Peter) of Savannah, Georgia, a niece and nephew.
Drue and Lewis lived for a number of years on Signal Mountain, outside of Chattanooga, Tenn., where they enjoyed the company of the “committee” as they referred to their close friends on the mountain.
Drue enjoyed travel cruises and she and Lewis experienced many of the world’s most famous sites in China, Egypt, Europe, Russia and the Pacific. When not traveling abroad, she and Lewis had a special fondness for times spent onboard their houseboat on the Tennessee River. Fall Saturdays were always reserved for cheering on their beloved Georgia Bulldogs.
Drue was an active and long-time parishioner of St Augustine Catholic Church on Signal Mountain and later Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy.
She will be missed by family and friends.
Services for Drue will be private and held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
