Mr. Edward A. Wennerstrom, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Ed was born in New York, NY on March 12, 1935. He was a Nuclear Field Service Engineer and retired from Combustion Engineering after 40 years. Ed was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for 58 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Gertrude Wennerstrom and his wife of 56 years, Janette Wennerstrom. Survivors include his daughter, Christy Seepe (Tony); son, Eric Wennerstrom (Lisa); son, Brian Wennerstrom (Sharon); grandchildren, Katie Harvey (Bryan), Matthew Seepe (Katie), Natalie Gibson (Brad), Haley Wennerstrom, Phillip Wennerstrom (Abigail), Thomas Wennerstrom, and Lee Wennerstrom (Danielle); 5 great grandchildren; and very special friend, Arlene Halvorsen. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 30th from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm and Tuesday, May 1st from 1:30 -2:30 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 1st at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church Missions fund in lieu of flowers.
