Edward Woodruff (Woody) Wright, Jr., 62, son, brother, uncle and friend, died Friday, May 21, 2021, surrounded in love by his mother Barbara, brother Steven, and sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Chuck Boaz. Ed Wright, Sr. died ten years before his beloved son Woody. Also surviving Woody are Alex and Ashley Lee and Samantha Wright, his adored nieces and nephew, and a host of devoted family and friends.
Raised on Signal Mountain, Woody graduated from Notre Dame High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. He worked at Ed Wright Chevrolet for years until he relocated to Savannah, GA working in the automotive industry and as a merchandising service associate at Lowe’s Home Improvement for the last several years of his life.
Woody valued God’s gift of life and love, AA meetings, early morning Bible study, the great outdoors, scuba diving, exciting escapades and loyal friends.
He will be best remembered for his friendship, faith, loyalty, acceptance, sense of humor, and helping hand.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the local Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice.
Memorial Service will be held on May 29, 2021 at 11:00 am at Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
