Beth was a graduate of Hixson High School and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She held a BS degree in Sales and Marketing. Over the years she has been employed by The Chattanoogan Hotel, and Staybridge Suites. She served as Director of Children’s Ministries at First Centenary UMC and was later employed with Unum and Voya Financial.
Beth loved gardening and flowers and plants of every variety. She was also a fan of decorating and doing crafts. Even when cancer gave her great pain she spent many hours creating greeting cards for local nursing home residents. But the thing she loved most in the world was her family. Her husband and children were her everything. She never ceased talking about how much they meant to her and how proud she was of them and the strength they all showed in everything they did as they traveled this cancer journey with her.
Our family would like to say a special thank you to the whole staff of Tennessee Oncology for their wonderful caring treatment of Beth over the last 3 1/2 years, her doctors Dr. Davey Daniel and Dr. Maribeth Bosshardt, and NP Jessica Scott. Another special thanks to Dr. Whaley, her radiologist. Although they were only a part of her journey for a couple of weeks, Hearth Hospice was an amazing group of people who made her last days peaceful. They exhibited such knowledgeable and loving care of our whole family, and we cannot thank them enough.
Arrangements for a celebration of Beth's life will be made at a later time. If anyone wants to honor her memory, she requested that you donate to the LUNGevity Foundation or The American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
