Maxine was a resident of Rossville for over 50 years, and a member at Spring Creek Baptist Church for over 50 years. She retired from Hutcheson Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Walter J. Shelton, Sr.
Maxine is survived by sons, Walter Shelton Jr., Anthony (Julie) Shelton, Jason Shelton, and Justin Shelton; daughters, Cynthia (David) Dockery Sr., and Tanya (Buddy-deceased) Melford; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 5, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Harold McClure officiating.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
