Ernest Burgin

He was retired, yet active, from the Sheet Metals Association, Local #5, most recently achieving 65 years of service.

The family would like to thank the entire group at Amedisys Hospice, for all the direction, love and care through our transition period.

Ernest was preceded in death by his infant son William Clayton Burgin; grandson Michael Robinson; parents Nellie Burgin Cooper and William Burgin; brothers Carl and Paul Burgin.

Ernest leaves behind a wife of 66 years Helen Burgin; eight children Linda ( John) Albright, Patricia Higgins, Mike ( Debby) Burgin, Rebecca Pollard, Mark ( Margie) Burgin, Todd ( Tina) Burgin, Steve Paulette) Burgin all of Chattanooga; Roger Lynn ( Shanelle Adona) Burgin of Henderson NV. Twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21 , 2015 from 5 -8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel and on Saturday, August 22 from 10-11:30 am

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joel Wood officiating, with interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens .

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice 7161 Lee highway, suite 400, Chattanooga, TN 37421
