Born to Charles Wiedemann and Alma Locklar Wiedemann in Equality, IL.
Graduated Harrisburg High School in 1943.
Evelyn was active in the Civil Service Air Cadets during WWII.
She was preceded in death by her husband John E "Jack" Evans of Harrisburg, a son John and a daughter Betty Sue both of Chattanooga, and her brother Charles Wiedemann.
She is survived by 3 sisters, Gertrude Benefield of Chicago, IL, June Baldwin of Broughton, IL, and Carolyn Goodwim of Broughton, IL.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 11-1pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
Funeral service for Evelyn will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday, Novemeber 7, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Greg Smart officiating
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
