Florence White Smartt

She retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. after 36 years of service in the auditing department. In retirement, she loved working puzzles, watching Braves games, and finding the perfect greeting card for any loved one or occasion.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack Dennis Smartt; father Z. Carness White; mother Jenia A. White; siblings Connie Marie Stephens, Charles C. White, Gene White, Jeanette White, William Ralph White, and Z. Allen White; stepson Phillip D. Smartt.

She is survived by her stepdaughter Gail Smartt Reed (John); grandchildren Alison Law (Zach), Adam Smartt, Ashley Condra (Dwayne), and Anna Higdon (Dustin); great-granddaughters Aryn and Dovie; and many more beloved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 1, at 9 a.m., followed by a chapel service at 10 a.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
