We will never forget our dear friend and colleague who always accepted our toughest cases through the ER when out-patient therapy wasn't quite enough. He accepted them as a willing challenge with a smile and gratitude for the faith and confidence we had in him and his wonderful team. God bless him and God bless his family with grace to weather this most terrible of storms. T.J. Orme, MD ----

I pray for God's peace and mercy during this time of mourning for the Fesmire family.
Dr. Fesmire taught me so much. Part of the legacy he leaves behind is the competent and compassionate care, with which we will continue to provide to the people of Chattanooga. I am in debt to him.

To the Fesmire and Pierce families:
There are not adequate words to express my shock, grief and sympathy. Francis was truly one of my best friends. Whether months or years passed between contact, the warmth and power of his friendship was always immediately front and center. His kindness, intellect and wicked sense of humor were true gifts. His achievements were awesome, but mostly he was just a beloved friend of the highest order. Please accept my prayers for peace during this incredibly painful time. Sorry I was not able to be in Chattanooga today. Love and sincere condolences to you all.
