He was a member of Central Church of Christ, retired from DuPont where he worked as a millwright and served in the Army Reserve for 8 years.
Preceded in death by father, Fred M Hafley, mother, Dama R Hafley, brother, Harold Hafley and sister, Mary Tolliver.
Survived by loving wife of 68 years, Bettye R Hafley, daughters Lisa Hafley Barnes, Kerri (Richard) Carmack, Tracy (Keith) Brumley; grandchildren, Renee (Brandon) Tidwell, Kristin Barnes, Jonathan (Dana) Carmack and Reid Carmack; great-grandchildren, Henry and Sam Tidwell; brother, David (Ruth) Hafley and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 11:00 – 1:00 prior to the service at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
