Family and friends have lost a great man. Gary never met a stranger and always showed respect for everyone he knew and met. He was a special man and if you were lucky enough to be his friend, which I was, you had a friend for life. Rest in Peace Gary. Love and miss you.

When we moved to Ooltewah from Minneapolis in 1997 one of the first things I looked for was a quality radio talk show. I found it with WGOW FM sport talk. I've been a loyal listener ever since. Dr. Basketball will be missed by so many. He made us laugh, get mad, but never bored. To hear of all the good things Gary did outside of his public life only continues to build on what a great man he was. Thoughts and prayers to his family and his so many friends.
