He was preceded in death by his parents, Luscious and Viola Lawson.
George is survived by his Loving wife, Lynn Lawson, daughter, Victoria Lawson, sons, Jeffery Lawson, Jimmy Lawson, and John Place, two sisters, Retha Cox and Alice {Jack} Wade, and one brother Calvin {Faye} Lawson. Eleven grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 9, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the North Chapel.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the North chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
