George "Roy" L. Stansberry

Roy was a retired Ironworker. He was a longtime member of Calvary Bible Church. Roy was a member of the Fidelity Masonic Lodge # 558 F&AM, he was a 33 Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and was a past Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Tennessee York Rite Council.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Donna Stansberry; brother, Don E. Stansberry.

George is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Stansberry; children, Vance A. Dobbins, III of Chatsworth, GA, Brenda Britton, Bruce (Cindy) Dobbins, and Kay (Gary) Magin all of Rossville, GA, Alyn (Amy) Stansberry of Knoxville, TN, and Keli (Tim) Robbins-Price of Clinton, TN; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren;

The family respectfully request that "social distancing", wearing masks, and all CDC measures be followed at the funeral home and cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, January 24, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of George’s life will follow at 1 pm on Monday at the North Chapel with his Pastor Bill Henry officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
