Gladys Ethel Waddell

She was born on September 10, 1926 in Soddy and was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for over sixty years until her death. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, granny and friend to many.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of nearly sixty years, Marshall M. Waddell, Jr.; her parents, Douglas and Cordelia Weese; four sisters and one brother.

Gladys is survived by her three daughters, Lynne (Nelson) Crook of Collierville, TN, Karen (Kevin) Cardwell of Hixson, TN and Marsha Richardson of Soddy Daisy, TN; grandsons, Kevin Crook, Joshua Richardson and Justin Richardson; great-granddaughter, Valyn Crook; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. Her body will be interred at Hamilton Memorial Gardens following the service. Her memory will live on through her family and friends, and most importantly her spirit now resides in Heaven with Jesus.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5 pm to 7 pm and Friday, February 2, 2018 from 2 pm to 3 pm at the funeral home.
